Our Mission

The internet started by connecting mainframes, by the end of the 20th century 600m desktop and laptop computers exchanged email and web-traffic. Today around 15 billion ‘things’ are connected to the internet, growing at a rate of a billion per year. Tyk are committed to enabling interconnectivity between systems and between devices. What can you do with us?

We are looking for a seasoned new business sales representative to join a fast growing software startup to help uncover, nurture, and build relationships in install based accounts across EMEA.  The ideal candidate will have a history of success in startup environments with a proven ability to work as part of a team, build something where nothing exists, and instill instant trust and accountability with customer, partner and internal relationships.

Here’s what you’ll be getting up to:

  • Be a brand ambassador and represent Tyk commercially in all prospect and partner facing relationships in the territory.
  • Meet and exceed individual quotas.
  • Work closely with regional SDRs to ensure leads are entering the sales pipeline.
  • Stay up to date and current with Tyk internal sales tools.
  • Manage new client relationship-engagements to drive pipeline and revenue.
  • Set and manage prospect expectations for their experience with the Tyk product portfolio.
  • Manage the prospect journey from initial call to legals and contracting.
  • Work with regional VP of Sales to develop sales strategies.

Here’s what we’re looking for:    

  • A determined attitude – strong new business sales experience and direct account and customer management in Technology Sales.
  • Product understanding – knowledge of the API space.
  • A proven track record – a history of handling cold calls, new demos, customer escalations and all customer communication.
  • A People-person – ability to present proposals and articulate core value propositions.
  • A can-do mentality – proven track record of quota achievement.
  • A curious mind – knowledge of the technical stacks, including database, middleware, APIs.
  • A seasoned member of our community – solid digital background and hands on experience in software development or related technical fields.  
  • Someone who has already been there and got the t-shirt – experience managing all aspects of a successful account through initial engagement, proposal and delivery.
